The Stacks

Located on the hillside of the Mt. Baker neighborhood in Seattle, this private backyard combines corten steel and natural stone to create a functional and serene outdoor space. The bamboo decking, along with the pergola and gate, frames a custom-built, rustic outdoor kitchen. A gas fire feature with a weathered finish serves as the focal point of the patio, which is bordered by a basalt and brick seatwall and decorative steel screens with uplighting. The brick feature wall was repurposed to complement the existing architecture. A flagstone path meanders through a shade garden and low-maintenance groundcover. This well-designed space incorporates thoughtful details to enhance its usability and aesthetic.
