AMES LAKE OASIS
This project involved the complete reconstruction of the landscape at a residence in the Ames Lake area of Redmond, WA. The design aimed to create a park-like atmosphere, transforming the outdoor space into an extension of the client’s entertaining areas. The goal was to seamlessly connect the indoor and outdoor environments, offering a welcoming space for gatherings and relaxation.
We handled all aspects of the landscape construction, including hardscaping, planting, and site development. The fence and entry gate were completed by other teams, while the client personally built several arbors in the upper landscape, adding a unique, personal touch. The landscape design was created by Kim Rooney, a landscape architect, who collaborated closely with the client to bring their vision to life.
The project incorporated a variety of materials that complemented the natural surroundings, such as BC Greenhouses, Silver Falls wall rock, sandstone wall caps, a bluestone mortar-set patio and many more. Custom features included a custom outdoor dining and kitchen area with a bespoke kitchen cover, a newly installed greenhouse, and a bocce court. These elements were thoughtfully integrated into the landscape, creating a cohesive and functional outdoor space that supports both leisure and entertainment.
